Sainte-Justine-de-Newton

The first inhabitants of the west side of this village were Scots. French Canadians from the Seigneurie de Vaudreuil established themselves on the east side. An interesting feature to note here is the location of the houses, which were built either along the road or set well back, in the middle of the land, according to the traditions of each group of settlers.
